3 Day Wind Forecast And Real Time Wind Minimize

A good wind forecast for kiteboarding is 6 hours in a row of 17+ mph wind. Beginner lessons are possible with a forecast of 3 hours of 15+ mph wind. Note that wind forecasts change frequently and are accurate up to 2 days in the future.

Note that unless a hurricane or tropical storm is approaching, a summer afternoon high wind forecast is due to thunderstorms and we do not teach during a thunderstorm. A thunderstorm will temporarily increase then greatly decrease the wind in the summer and provide for unsafe kite flying conditions due to lightning.

Realtime (current) wind available on a super accurate network of propretary wind sensor technology available at WindAlert and ikitesurf.com
. Free 10 day trial! After your 10 day trial, get a $20 discount on your ikitesurf.com and WindAlert subscription here.
